Barr Benyamin joined Bird Marella as a litigation associate in 2021, specializing in complex commercial disputes and white collar defense and investigations.
He is experienced in advising multinational companies on cutting-edge international matters involving issues of data privacy, intermediary liability, intellectual property, and consumer protection. In the criminal defense realm, Barr has represented clients in a wide variety of matters and investigations involving trade secrets theft, False Claims Act (FCA) violations, embezzlement, and securities fraud.
Barr was previously an associate at White & Case LLP and Latham & Watkins LLP, the latter at which he was recognized as a Latham Guardian of Justice for his commitment to pro bono service.
During law school, he served as Chief Strategy Editor of the American Criminal Law Review and as a legal research and writing instructor to first-year students. As a member of the Georgetown Law Appellate Litigation Clinic, he successfully briefed and argued a case before the Fourth Circuit. He was also a judicial extern for the Honorable Dolly M. Gee in the Central District of California.
