Michael C. Landman joined Bird Marella’s white-collar criminal defense practice in 2022.
Previously, Mr. Landman was a Trial Attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice’s Tax Division, where he worked in the Western Criminal Enforcement Section. As a Trial Attorney, Mr. Landman earned consecutive awards for his track record on many high-stakes prosecutions and investigations. He investigated and prosecuted cases involving tax evasion, money laundering, mail and wire fraud, conspiracy, and aggravated identity theft. He has also worked on matters related to qui tam False Claims Act litigation and multi-defendant gang prosecutions. Mr. Landman has successfully tried 15 cases to verdict.
Prior to working at the DOJ, Mr. Landman served as a law clerk for District Court Judge Stefan R. Underhill in the District of Connecticut.
